Surprise! We did a split gig with A Change Of Plan and Planeta Della Scimmie but without The Exposition because Jacco went to Virginia. If you had subscribed to the mailing list you would have known. SO DO IT NOW! I passed my high school exams so that gave me an excuse to throw a party again at my place. Next time we play with the Expo it'll be in some new venue I hope. We got lots of videos but no pics I think. And I found another press release. So here they are. We'll be recording the demo soon and there's a gig with PDS at the Tagrijn(.nl) maybe in september when it reopens. I'll also try to fix up a new site design that'll be less childish than the current one. The two videos are new songs of our current repertoire of 12 - 2 that we don't wanna play at this time. There are 2 other new spanking ones one the way.

Surprise! I guess you never really know when we'll show up or not. We don't even. We thrashed a highschool gala and there's a video for download. Go see "mutilation"! Wytse scanned the interview from the newspaper; go check it out in "formaline". We are planning to do split gigs with ACOP, The Exposition and Planeta della Scimmie so keep checking for updates!

Howdyhoe! By golly there WAS a show. Thanks to Wytse, Joey and RJ filling in on bass.
I'll apologize, but won't mean it, if people say
Mark and I should've been there to play. Even one fourth of the band should still be as much representing as everyone together. And there's still something about the contest that's now wholesome although I'd like to congratulate the winning band; S5. I personally thought, and Mark did so too probably, that taking a vacation was more important then these finals. I really need that sort of thing to get my act together again. I regret that I had to miss seeing The Exposition play the night I was leaving.
I would've personally liked to see other bands in the finals that really deserve it but Wytse and I concluded that we still deserved the position to play. I let him do some interview, for a special on the band contest the local newspaper asked us to, because I wouldn't be there anyway. Just for the info; we currently have six (able to play) songs in our repertoire of which 2 are totally Wytse's brainchilds and I just hum along some additional lyrics. Furthermore, W. will be th
e one reflecting on that particular gig, naturally. It's all in his hands.
I added some links, some text (sound) and a review on the pre-finals gig.
There are already new songs on Gracie's working bench. It'll just be a matter of time.
Look sharp for updates as we'll be taking new turns.

We didn't come to compete. We came to play. I believe that's also how the stagemaster introduced us. I personally don't believe you can judge a band like that. Although it maybe gave a small warm fuzzy feeling inside that there were people that liked us (from the jury). But it's too bad that from the 12 bands, there will be 8 who feel bitter towards the winners, which makes me feel kind of bitter too. Except for a few, there wasn't much excitement noticeable from the audience, but what's new. But thanks to those that were there for us and no thanks to who should've been there. I loved every second of the show. I believe we've grown a little as a real band since the 2 last rehearsals went quite well.
Praise the lord and caress his buttocks because Joey played with us. His arms got better.
There are videotapes and such so keep your eyes peeled for updates.
There are supposed rumours about Gracie not playing in the finals. We'll see...

peace x

So everybody's back to their normal lives in the new month o' the year and they all wish they weren't. Work, school, unemployment, devastating politics, fucked up social habits and much more to be enticed about.
Gracie's got herself yet another substitute drummer what seems to be becoming a tradition (just like not having practice). Either it doesn't click and tick or the poor bastards go on tilt. It's a hard knock life, isn't it. This time it's up to an old friend from Thin Lines; Pieter, who is himself competing in the Gooische Goden competition in the Tagrijn with TL. I thank Pieter a lot for wasting his time with us and just wish for them that they win the finals and hope that Pieter will rock with us passionately and truthfully. We will be playing in the third and final round the 10th of February.
We have been recording several songs with Gijs from ACOP (who will also be competing) to serve as sample music. I resang the vocals from teardrums which now includes the final lyrics and can be downloaded from this site. But don't expect too much; We'll put a lot more effort into it live! It'll be Wytse ofcourse who'll sing the backup vocals. We'll first record all the instruments and the vocals last. So maybe there'll be another sample on the site soon.
In any case we hope you'll come listen to what we have to say/play.

Hellow, all you devoted apostels! You're prayers have finally been answered because you'll no longer know us as just a name, a bunch of guys or a website. We have MUSIC! You can download our first fully recorded song that we recorded in about three hours 'Chez Gijs'.                                         (XXX-_CLICK HERE_-XXX) (<--- link inactive: go to sound)
We have another song but we haven't recorded the lyrics yet so it'll have to wait.
In other news; FART played the Cameleon in Bussum. We have now officially played more gigs then we've practiced. I played Mineral - If I could, but it almost got totally screwed because we never even played that anyway.

Some bad news: Joey broke his wings and is unable to play drums for a while. We will probably play Gooische Goden with Casper Haverkort. Please come show us your support when we play the contest in the tagrijn (www.tagrijn.nl).
Well, I'm almost off to Berlin to celebrate the New Year so I don't have much more time. The song will be on the "sound" page when I will have made it. I will also eleborate on our music by that time but I hope it just speaks for itself. For now, download the bitch and spread the word.

We had our second gig last saturday at my place and we're already planning to play with another band that was there, called A Change of Plan, in the Tramontano in Huizen. Their singer offered to help us record a demo that we could use for entering the Gooische Goden band contest. The band that wins goes to the regional finals, and after that, to the national finals. The pics and reviews of the gig are on the site. Thanks 2 EVERY1 that made it a BLAST!!!!
I made a banner for linkage. It's on the bottom of the page. + I added some links.

Yay! :p I finally fixed a popup window script on the band page. That's one step further to becoming a mediocre webmaster. I added links to some record labels. I drew a map of the venue we first played.
AND I added a totally useless page with some rehearsel photos, a poll and a piece of art/shit. So go see it!
Next up will be to record some (sample) music for you.
In other news: I'm gonna turn 19 (I hope) 23 November and I'll use that sorrowful fact as an excuse to throw a party at which I hope Gracie will play with some other bands.

Ok. I hope it's more visible now but the link to the guestbook is in the right column of this page. C'mon. Don't be a stranger and leave a message. And don't forget to subscribe!
I added some more links to bands we know.
I finally created the gigs (mutilation) page and wrote a little review on the gig. If you were there; say something in the guestbook. I'll make a community/message-board later to post things like that.
I also gave out the last of the 12 prototype business cards. This one was favorite:
(Pass it on, if you wanna.)
[ image has been replaced ]

We'll soon record some 1 minute samples of our songs for this site. That'll be crappy quality recording from my digital camera in the rehearsel studios. But that's just a taste for what you'll hear at our gigs. Now I have to go to sleep cause I have to study all day tomorrow. Freckin exams.

YEAH! There we go: COUNTER!, GUESTBOOK!, MAILING LIST!
Didn't make the 'gigs' page yet but I uploaded the pics of our first gig. They're named 'gigjor1.JPG' till 'gigjor6.JPG'. They file under www.xs4all.nl/~bosk/imgs/.
Didn't fix the link button problem on the band page yet, but added a note to view this site with Netscape.
We wont practice this Sunday because D.I.T. has practice but we now have a set of 6 songs which we will work on to perfectly play.
We will still be looking for a new drummer though, but we'll try to record some stuff first so it'll be easier to get one. We (I) would also like to have a female bassist or guitarist/vocalist try out in our band so if you know any sickass dummer and/or ferocious female so know who to e-mail.
On a last note: my arms are killing me and I'm f*cking tired. *cry cry*

Got a new URL. Very snappy, yes. And, no: NO 'www.'!! You can enter www. if you want to, but it's not necessary. I'm sick of W! Aren't you?
Updated the band page with my bio. Wytse and Joey are both also in D.I.T. which is linked in the links section, so go there if you want to know them now. Mark's bio will follow after he tells me how he wants it. And IF he even wants that kind of "exposure". Ow yeah, the buttons don't work in IE4. Only in Netscape. I'll fix that soon.
Next up: Mutilation! Finally everything you wanted to know about Gracie's first gig.

Added the 'band' page which will ofcourse need to be updated. There's just some text and again a pretty paint picture. Made a new logo. Applied for a redirect URL and a site counter. (No, the say.it URL above does not work! It's fictional!) Updated the links section.

Ah! The creative mind is at it's best when it's tired. God bless insomnia!
There's has been some internal strife about the site's layout. But then again; we've been quarreling about the bandname for ages too. Yours truly thought it was a good idea to just start somewhere and let it evolve. So if any of you has a problem with this, you take it up with me! :| (see footnote for contact)
By-the-way; I made the logo in Paint. I also use Adobe but Paint's real vintage retro and shit, ya'll dig?! I'll post some more information somewhere soon (like anyone cares I wipe my but with HTML).
We tried to arrange practice last Sunday but had some trouble booking. And Mark wanted to run through some songs first but we've all agreed Joey rocks fucking shit of Mars with his ass-pounding drumming so it'll be next Sunday from 12 to 4 in room 4. Maybe we'll do another 4 songs.
Oh, yeah. Wytse's pointed out we're not adolescent lads. My bad. We're 4 hot sweaty cocks from Holland. Did someone say profanity? Updated the links section. Next up: the band!

Hello! This is the webmaster speaking.
As of late, a new musical group/band has been formed in the area of Hilversum (The Netherlands).
They have made themselves known as 'Goodnight Gracie'.
The members sprung from the retro-indie-rock band known as FART (Fluffy & The Romantic Truckers) to form a new line-up with another drummer in order to play more abbrassive music. Having played their first gig (which will be elaborated on soon!) in their new form, the time for a website had come.
This is the first set-up of web pages so just regard these first pages as the stepping stones of what will become ultimately the full blown website of what is 'Goodnight Gracie, the band'. Keep checking if you like hard and passionate music played by 4 adolescent lads from Holland.
